Faux Fur-eezing

¡Hola Hola!

En las vacaciones de semestre fui a Chicago, la hermosa ciudad del viento. Para mí, este lugar es igual a Nueva York pero mucho más ordenada y espaciosa. Me di cuenta que lo del viento es literal, el clima era extremadamente frío; hubo un día que estaba en -16 °C y se sentía en -22°C y no sentía ni mi cara ni mis manos. Cuando mi hermana me tomó estas fotos el clima obviamente estaba muchísimo mejor, así que les pude traer este look sin guantes y sin gorro.

El protagonista de este "look" es el abrigo de piel sintético o como llaman en inglés "Faux Fur". Se que en Caracas no es una pieza que se pueda usar a menudo, a menos que, (una ocurrencia mía) lo uses con un vestido, para cubrirte del frío, en una fiesta nocturna. Sin embargo; la razón por la cual lo compré en Forever 21 es porque cada vez que escogemos a dónde viajar, mi papá elige el lugar más frío del planeta, me parece que siempre es bueno estar preparado para todo y estoy segura que lo utilizaré en otro viaje donde haya invierno.

No soy experta utilizando estos abrigos; principalmente debido a que es la primera vez que lo uso, pero si me parece que cuando te lo pongas, lo demás que complemente el look, tiene que ser sobrio porque ya de por sí, es llamativo. Por está razón, encima de todas las medias, calentadores y demás, utilicé un pantalón oscuro, un sueter negro y una bufanda negra. Lo que resaltó también fueron mis botas militares, que por cierto, fueron los únicos zapatos que utilicé en todo el viaje.

Hello hello!

Between each semester I have a break, so this time I traveled to Chicago, the wind city. For me, tis place is like New York, but more organized and roomier. I realized that the thing about the wind is literally true, the weather was extremely cold; one day it was -16 C° and the real feel was -22 C° and I couldn't feel my face and my hands. When my sister took this photos, obviously the weather was a lot better, so at the end I had the chance to show you an outfit without gloves and hat.

The main character of this look is the faux fur coat. This coat is not a fashion piece I could wear in Caracas all the time, maybe on top of a dress in a party at a cold night. However, I bought it at forever 21 because, every time we decide where to travel, my father chooses the coldest place in the planet, and it´s important to be prepared for any upcoming trip.

Since it´s the first time I wear a faux fur coat, I am not an expert, however, my fashion instincts tell me that if you wear this, the rest of your clothes should be sober because the coat itself is the center of attention. For this reason, on top of all the socks and layers of warm clothes, I used a black denim, a sweater and scarf. The only thing that stood out apart from the fur were my combat boots that, by the way, were the only ones I wored during the trip.
